Tired of being told what you should do?
It can be painful hearing the same advice over and over again but how you react can be the difference between success or failure. If you’re not achieving your objectives without following the advice others are giving you it becomes rather obvious that change is needed. I have seen this time and time again, people know what they need to do but they procrastinate until it’s too late or they run out of steam and park their ambitions.
Sometimes you have to just knuckle down and do it. You lose the baggage that is holding you back and get on with the stuff that matters – when you do the results will come. At Thought Leaders Business School we have a mantra which guides people to success – “Trust the system, do the work”. Everyone who does is achieving amazing success.
Your motivation comes from your view of life.
What you want to achieve with your career or your relationships is driven from deep within and sometimes, you need some help to find the fire that burns inside. Many factors will affect your motivation but as the great Tom Peters, author of “In search of excellence” and many other best sellers once said, “Unless you walk out into the unknown, the odds of making a profound difference in your life are pretty low”. It takes courage to do that, it’s not for the faint hearted but you are up for it, if you are reading this I know you are.
When it’s all said and done, what is the legacy you want to leave and how will that affect the way you play in 2016? Will it be more of the same or are you going to have a red-hot crack at changing the way you do things and increase your level of success?
I see 2016 as the year to make a major statement, and that starts with the things I do now. How about you, what will you do?
